Walking out of the store the other day, the person I was with remarked that the little red kettle from the Salvation Army must be hurting as not one person that was ahead of us in line used cash, everyone used a card of some sort.
In the past the Salvation Army red kettles accepted cash and spare change, however, if people are not carrying cash then what happens to the donations.
Well never fear. Technology has caught up. Now at over 300 locations across 120 U. S. cities the Salvation Army, with their little red kettles and bell ringers, accept all major credit and or debit cards. They are now set up with a card reader that can accept the cards and print out a receipt.
And that should definitely increase their donations during this Holiday season.
