Preventing Medical Bankruptcies

While Congress is continuing to bicker back and forth between the parties about health care reform one of the effects of our currently broken system is that over 60% of all bankruptcies can be related back to medical expenses.

The Senate Judiciary Administrative Oversight and the Courts Subcommittee recently had a hearing on proposed legislation to change the current bankruptcy laws in order to reduce the numbers of people being forced into bankruptcy because of medical debt.
