New Spending For Jobs And Economy

by Karen on December 8, 2009

In a move that is sure to bring about sharp criticism from the Republicans and Conservative Right, President Obama has outlined a new multibillion stimulus and jobs proposal in an attempt to revive the economy and put Americans back to work.

The package includes new spending for outdated highway, bridge and other infrastructure projects, more tax breaks for small businesses and tax incentives to make homes and buildings more energy efficient.

Obama has said that he is presenting these measures because they “will generate the greatest number of jobs while generating the greatest value for our economy.”
