by Karen on August 10, 2010

The Credit Repair Organizations Act prohibits a credit repair organization to charge a consumer upfront before any work has been done.

This does not imply that success has to be reached but rather that some effort must be put forth prior to the consumer being charged.

If a credit repair organization asks for money upfront you know that it is not a credible, reliable or professional service and you should keep looking.
