Mortgage Rates At Almost Record Lows

Mortgage Rates on a 30-year fixed mortgage recently fell to the low for the year and hit at just barely above the record all –time low.

According to mortgage finance company, Freddie Mac, the average mortgage interest rate dipped to 4.72 percent, down from 4.79 percent. The record low was 4.71 percent set in December 2009.

The rate on a 15-year fixed-rate mortgage fell to 4.17 percent down from4.2 percent and hit the lowest on all records dating back to August 1991.

Rates often fluctuate considerably and can even change dramatically in the same day, even so the rates are exceptionally favorable for consumers right now.

All the more reason to repair your credit now.
