Many people try to repair their credit in an attempt to qualify for a new home. Right now is a great time to buy a new home if you qualify for the homebuyer credit as you will be able to qualify for up to $8000 back on the purchase of your home provided you sign the contract before April 30, 2010 and close before June 30, 2010.
