Does adding an extra credit card ever really make sense?
Actually it does if you want to increase your credit score quickly. However, you can’t get the extra credit card to use, but mostly just to have. Charge a small amount on it, just don’t go over the 15% or so mark of what is available and it will help your credit score.
This is because up to 35% of your credit score is comprised of your debt to available credit ratio. Add in a brand new spanking credit card and your available credit goes up. Easy, peasy.
